The Greenville County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) outlines the county’s efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from large-scale emergencies and disasters. The plan is the result of the all-hazards emergency management program designed to address many types of hazards including severe weather, flooding, hazardous materials, earthquakes, terrorism, and technological incidents.

The mission of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is to protect the community from the harmful and possibly life-threatening effects of a hazardous materials release by developing and implementing policies and procedures for complying with the Emergency Planning and Right-to-Know Act ( EPCRA ), Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA Title III).
