Rachel Nafziger is the coordinator for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). Her job is to make Greenville County more resilient by coordinating training for members of the community and working with the public and private sectors to train and equip responders. Her innovative training model for the CERT program is the first of its kind in South Carolina and recognizes the need for adaptability to maintain program participation. Rachel has more than 12 years of experience in Emergency Management and holds a B.A. in Communications from Lee University and a graduate certificate in Public Administration from Clemson University. She is married with two young children and can’t remember what she likes to do in her spare time.
