Richard Mullinax is the Special Operations Coordinator for Greenville County Emergency Response Team. His role includes coordinating and lead both the county’s hazardous materials and rescue teams in all aspects of training, purchasing and maintaining response equipment, completing incident reports for training and response events, maintains training hours for team members and recruits responders from across the county to be team members for ERT. Rick is a native of Greenville South Carolina. In July 1983, he joined the Greenville City Fire Department where he served 35.5 years and retired December 2018. Rick last served GCFD as an Assistant Fire Chief. In December 2018, he joined the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office as the Special Operations Coordinator. In January 2019 ERT was moved to Greenville County Emergency Management Division. Rick earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in 2002 from Southern Wesleyan University. He is married to his wife of 36 years to Gretchen. Rick also has two children Hillary Brannon and Eric Mullinax. He also has one grandchild Lawson Brannon. In his spare time Rick enjoys camping at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and spending time with his family.
