Steve Hunt

Steve Hunt accepted the position of Special Operations Coordinator for Greenville County Emergency Management, in April of 2023. After 33 years of dedicated service, Steve retired from the City of Greenville Fire Department in November of 2022 as Captain in the Training Division. During his time at the City of Greenville, Steve joined the Greenville County Emergency Response Team, where he served for 18 years as a team member and rescue coordinator. Steve has also served as a part of the South Carolina Emergency Response Task Force group, specializing in urban search and rescue. Through Steve’s many experiences and training opportunities, he has developed skills in instruction, planning, organization, and administration. On a more personal level, Steve enjoys camping, time at the lake, and spending time with his family and friends!
