Pierce Womack is eager and excited to serve Greenville County as the Deputy Director of Emergency Management.
He brings real world experience from Pickens County, serving the community for 17 years. His work ethic elevated him from a dispatcher to Fire Captain and his most recent past position as Deputy Director of Emergency Management in Pickens County.
His passion for emergency response is spotlighted on a state level as a member of South Carolina Task Force One and the Palmetto Incident Support Team. These teams deploy in support of local first responders for any large scale emergencies. Pierce has been involved with South Carolina Firefighter Mobilization for many years and was selected as the Region 1 Coordinator in 2020. His leadership and organization was paramount during disaster events including the Pinnacle Mountain Fire and devastating hurricanes. Pierce was recently elected as 3rd Vice President of the South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association and is excited to serve in this role.
Pierce understands the remedy to any critical incident begins with communication and is continuously polishing his skills as a communications technician and programmer. He also brings an extensive background in HazMat and emergency services paired with his dedication and leadership to the Greenville County team.
Above all else, Pierce will quickly tell you his greatest accomplishment is his daughter Maddie Kate.
